We believe that teachers do not have great options when it comes to getting quality conflict-free financial advice. In many cases they have 403(b) or 457(b) plans and may contact their reps on occasion to see if they are in the “right funds”. They may get fund suggestions or wind up with some sort of insurance policy or annuity. Chessie Advisors has put together a service specifically designed for K-12 educators to address this need.
Our Chessie TEACH℠ service allows our clients one-on-one access to an advisor annually to prepare and update a financial plan (including help with cash flow and budgeting, education funding, retirement planning, risk management, and company benefit coordination) as well as ongoing access to an advisor via email throughout the year for other financial questions that may come up.
Those also looking for ongoing investment management services for 401(k), 403(b), 457(b) accounts, IRAs, and non-retirement accounts, can couple our Chessie TEACH℠ service with our Chessie Portfolios℠ offering.
We believe that financial planning is about more than just investments. For those interested in areas such as: cash flow and budgeting, education funding, retirement planning, risk management, estate planning, tax planning, company benefit coordination, as well as periodic investment allocation advice, we offer our Chessie Guidance℠ service.
Our advisors will assist in the development and ongoing implementation of a financial plan. This service typically consists of scheduled phone or video conferences throughout the year. In addition, advisors are available outside of those conferences on an as needed basis. This service is priced as flat annual retainer, paid monthly in advance for simplicity.
Chessie Guidance℠ is perfect for those just starting out in their careers or those in mid-career looking for guidance on planning for retirement, children’s education or other issues. Those also looking for ongoing investment management services for 401(k), 403(b), 457(b) accounts, IRAs, and non-retirement accounts, can couple our Chessie Guidance℠ service with our Chessie Portfolios℠ offering.

Chessie Advisors will work with clients to determine their risk tolerance, investment goals and objectives and how other outside investment accounts may affect how their accounts through us are managed. Using that information, we will recommend a customized portfolio based on the individual needs of the client. As part of the service, client accounts will go through a rebalance analysis at least quarterly and will be rebalanced as needed.
A 30-minute portfolio review meeting will be held at least annually with clients via phone or video conferencing.
This service is provided via a fee based on the amount of assets being managed. The fees are invoiced and paid monthly, in advance.
